Happy April and National Poetry Month, everyone!
I hope sunshine is starting to sneak into your days, and your souls are stretching and yawning back to life. Maybe you are crawling out of a winter hibernation and ready to explore something new.
If so, same.
While I’ve absolutely loved sharing my poems with you each month, we’re heading in a new direction this season.
Why?
Well, I’m saving most of my poems for my poetry book…which is set to release this year!
CUE: The confetti! The champagne! The piñata!
Since I’m spending so much time in the book world, it’s also what I want to write about. I want to share about bringing this book to life. I want to talk about prioritizing creativity when the rest of life presses in from all sides. I want to chat about the artistic process: my own, yours, and others’. (Message me if you’d like to collaborate!)
Writing can be a lonely task, with only commas and em-dashes for friends. ;) I’m incredibly grateful for this community and I can’t wait to share more of this journey with you. If you’re here reading, leave me a comment and let me know—what are you curious about? Creativity, writing/artistic process, publishing, poetry, or something else entirely?
In honor of National Poetry Month, you can find my poetry recommendations below!

Part 2: Poetry Books by Mainstream/Big Presses
Part 3: Spoken Word Poets
Part 4: Coming next week!
Yay! So excited for your book! Always love hearing other authors' processes, especially when it comes to sequencing.
I want to read about all of this and happy to collaborate at some point too!
